Elizabeth Macqueen
Elizabeth is Founder and Owner of MacQueen Fine Art since 1978. Living and working in 9 countries has taught her the delicacy of negotiations in diverse cultures. Negotiating with Pat Summit for her 32-foot monument for the Women’s Basketball of Fame was not a slam dunk. Working with the Chinese Historical Society in California while creating the first monument in the U.S. to honor Chinese Pioneers building the US Transcontinental, as the only Caucasian, was a tremendous honor and a stepping stone into Asian culture. Her talent, compassion and empathy were instrumental in winning the Four Spirits bronze memorial in 2013 of the four girls murdered by the KKK in Birmingham, Alabama. MacQueen has dedicated her life to social justice and opening up difficult dialogue thru her fine art.
